Admission Criteria
· Clients must show evidence of being diagnosed with a substance use disorder (SUD) and may be affected with co-occurring disorders either mental health or chronic medical conditions
· Be at least 18 years of age
· Be a resident of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
· Have a primary diagnosis of a substance use disorder
· Be at least 5 days abstinent from substances that are non-prescribed
· Have a recent negative tuberculosis screening or recent chest x-ray if history of positive PPD
· Be stabilized on any prescription medication and have a 30-day supply of prescription(s)
· Be able to obtain full time employment
· SSI/SSDI recipients must be capable of doing volunteer work in the community
Exclusion Criteria
· Participants in need of acute medical care including detoxification
· Participants who present an overwhelming desire not to participate in treatment
· Persons with active communicable tuberculosis or any other contagious or infectious diseases
· Participants who do not meet the DSM-V criteria for substance use disorder (SUD)
· Participants who are unwilling to engage in the evaluation/assessment process by refusing to disclose information necessary to developing an ITP and to coordinate treatment services
· Persons not capable of self preservation and or self care
· Persons who are intoxicated or using illicit drugs
